The religion of Islam in the light of present world events
Not only the more than one billion inhabitants on earth who embrace the religion of Islam, but the whole world is of the opinion that Allah is equal to the God of the Jews and the Christians. Long before Mohammed, in Arabia Allah was in ancient times believed to be the moon god who gave fertility to all of nature. From the beginning, the half-moon became the symbol of Islam. According to the legend, this moon god Allah had married the sun goddess Al-Lat and had three daughters with her, al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat. These were worshipped as goddesses, as confirmed by many authors and various encyclopaedias. Mohammed himself admitted to having been under the wrong influence when he still gave consent to this pagan worship. The three corresponding verses were originally part of the Koran, as shown forth in Sura LIII, 19-21 and XXII, 52-53.
Also the Ka'aba with the black stone, which is still there today, was in ancient times a place of idol worship, where also the three goddesses were being honoured besides Allah, the moon god. Then the Ka'aba was torn down and later it was rebuilt, Mohammed himself tolerated the black stone as object of worship according to the old tradition. Also the superstition about stoning the devil is being continued up to this time. Every faithful Muslim should at least once in his lifetime participate in stoning the evil one. On February 23rdand 24th 2002, two million people participated in this ceremony once again. So the same old cults continued in the new religion, just in a different form. After Mohammed had conquered all his adversaries by the sword, he then declared Allah to be the only one to be worshipped and announced him to be the God of Creation. Before that time Allah was not considered to be the Creator the Bible speaks of, but rather the ancient Babylonian moon god. Therefore all who believe that the god of the Islam Allah – is the same God of the Jews and the Christians have fallen victim to a fatal misconception. Only the Bible testifies about the eternal God Elohim-Yahweh, the LORD GOD as the only Creator, Saviour and King. The Jews and the Christians at that time knew exactly who the moon god Allah was and therefore could not even under force accept him and worship him, but rather preferred death.
Never up till now did any Muslim scholar show any interest in dealing with this subject. Also those who translated the Bible into their languages in Arabic and Islamic countries use the word "Allah" for "God". What are they going to do now, after it has been revealed that they do not worship the true God but Allah, the ancient moon god, even in their songs? The only true eternal
God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:23-24).
During the time I spent in Egypt in 1983, 1 read the Koran from cover to cover. The Arabic script was on the right side throughout the book and I was reading the English translation on the left side. After having read the 114 Sures containing 6,348 verses and also the introduction to each of them, I finally had to ask myself, as I did so many times while reading it, »Where is God's message found in this book?« Therein is continuously repeated what the prophet had said, but not a single promise of God can be found in reference to salvation or reconciliation with the Almighty.
