CIRCULAR April 1992
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and for ever.” (Heb. 13:8 )
CIRCULAR April 1992
Special greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For reflection I chose the following text of the apostle Paul:
“Grace be to you, and peace, from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of God and our Father.” (Gal. 1:3-4)
All of God’s Word is precious. But those passages which touch the kernel of God’s plan with humanity mean the most to us. We are grateful for all the mighty works God did with Israel which are recorded in the Scriptures. But the personal experienced salvation is the greatest. What good would it do, if God had done the greatest things on earth but nothing had happened to us? Our Lord and Savior gave Himself for us to redeem us “from this present evil age“. It is the will of God, our Father, to have His offsprings in each generation during the time of grace. They are the sons and daughters of God – the Word- seed begotten by the Holy Spirit. Scriptural truths and knowledge are very good and essential, but they are not sufficient. God did not only have His truths proclaimed which are all connected with Him Who Himself is the Truth – He is not only proclaimed truth, He is experienced truth, revealed and manifested truth in human form. God is a personal God, Who deals with everyone coming to Christ in a personal way. Our Lord said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (Jn. 10: 10). “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (Jn. 1: 4). He is come to give us God’s life – eternal life, the whole fulness that dwelt in Him bodily. “And ye are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power.” (Col. 2:10)
One is not known by teaching or knowledge but rather by life itself. Not deeds but the life which we bear testifies who we are. As long as a tree only has leaves, it is not always easy to know what kind it is. As soon as the fruit comes forth, which expresses the life of the tree, we have the testimony and the actual evidence. Therefore, our Lord said, “… by their fruits you shall know them.” Only when scriptural truths are experienced and thereby have become a living reality, we have the evidence that our faith is not a theory but substantial.
Biblical themes are only disputed by those who have not experienced what was promised. Those who have received have the evidence and do not need to discuss. The blind the Lord had healed were themselves a living testimony that He is the healer. The man who was healed gave his testimony like this, “Why here is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from where he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.“ (Jn. 9:30). Whether leppers, blind, deafs, dumbs and those with other illnesses, not one who was healed ever discussed physical healing. That is only done by those who have not experienced God’s healing power themselves. The same applies to all promises and experiences from conversion to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Whoever can testify of having received according to the apostolic pattern needs not to discuss, but rather is certain because of the same experience which compares with the Word. “… the Holy Spirit fell on them, as on us at the beginning.” (Acts 11:15). That is the case in every realm right to the fully revealed Word of God. Discussions are only found where there is uncertainty and where the revealed truths have not yet been experienced.
In view of the rapid changes in world events, we see bible prophecy fulfilled on every hand. In the various camps one hears the same remark, “Now it cannot last too long any more.” Some add the statement, “How good to have the message!” So far so good, but it will not suffice. Even if we knew all mysteries from Genesis to Revelation and would not have divine love, wherein divine life is embedded, we are still nothing. God’s life in us does not depend on or comes by doctrine or knowledge, but rather is imparted to the individual by an act of the Holy Spirit. The time to stop all discussions and speculations has surely come. We now have to face God and experience the total restoration of all things, before Christ can come (Acts 3: 21). Most important is the right start with God, a true experience with Him, until the infilling and sealing with the Holy Spirit. Matthew 25:1-10 should no longer be discussed or interpreted, now we should experience the cleaning of the lamps and the filling of the vessels with the oil of the Spirit. That passage will soon be history.
Those who are honest ask in view of the return of the Lord, “What is actually necessary to be in the rapture?” Already in the Old Testament we are told of a few things concerning practical life, if we wish to see the Lord. In
Psalms 15 and 24 they are described who will be found worthy to be with the Lord. The question is: “LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?” The answer is: “He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor, In whose eyes a vile person is despised, but he honoreth them who fear the LORD; he that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.“ All should read this passage prayerfully before the Lord and ask themselves, if from God’s point of view we are meeting the conditions, which need to be fulfilled by those who will be with the Lord. Again the question is: “Who shall ascend into the hill ofthe LORD? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He who hath clean hands, and a pure heart, who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” In every generation it is the true seed of God, those begotten by Him who seek His face and desire the fulfilling of His holy Word. The true elect will certainly not be careless. In the contrary, they will compare themselves and check up whether all the scriptural conditions are met in their life. They carry the life of Jesus Christ with all His attributes and do not excuse themselves putting forth their own efforts. In nature, the sap climbs into the tree. At the time of the harvest the ripe fruit is being brought in. We are also compared with trees planted near the water, bearing fruit in the right season.
It is possible for some to major in head knowledge and sit on the chair of Moses, Paul, Branham, or other, being of the opinion it is sufficient to just defend doctrines or statements. We need a personal experience with the God of Moses, Paul and Branham which includes the whole man. Everyone can check up his spiritual stand whether we are just having theoretical formulations or experienced bible truths. Whosoever believes a God-sent prophet, in fact believes the Lord Jesus Christ – the whole testimony of the Scripture. Such a person will know this time and partake in what God is doing now. Not all who came out under Moses, Paul, Branham, etc. made it into the Promised Land. With most of them God was displeased.
Those who placed themselves in the chairs of such prophets are called by our Lord scribes and pharisees. It is never sufficient to shout, “The prophet said…“; “Malachi 4:5-6 said…“; “Luke 17:30 said…“, if the said is taken out of context. Upon those who venerate a prophet, the Lord has spoken the sevenfold woe. There is a great difference between receiving a prophet and benefitting from his ministry or to deify him as a person.
In this point we also have a very clear answer. There are people who erect monuments to prophets and also garnish their tombs. In doing this they do not comprehend that they are looking back and actually live in the past and do not see what God is presently doing. Whoever has received the blessings of a God-sent prophet will have part in all the Lord does, even though the prophet is in Glory. God moves on, and He shares with His Own whatever He presently does. He is not the I WAS or the I WILL BE, but He is the ever present I AM.
Brother Branham so fittingly stated, “Men always thank God for what He did, look forward to what He is going to do, and bypass what He presently does.” What God does now is the link between what He did in the past and what He will do in the future. Whoever only speaks now of the things God has done in the past, or about the things which are expected to happen in the future, must permit the question, if he does not bypass what now happens according to the plan of salvation.
It was the man sent from God, William Branham, who had a direct commission to bring the message which would forerun the second coming of Christ. This ministry was not given to us for admiration, but rather to be brought to the recognition of what God promised for today. He was told to store in the food – the revealed Word, the hidden manna. Not one time did the Lord tell him to give out the food. The question now is, for what purpose was he commissioned to store in the food? Most certainly so God’s people can be fed with the fresh revealed word.
By God’s grace and choosing I was given a direct part in distributing the stored in food. Because of a divine call on April 2nd, 1962,1 have a charge from the Almighty. In April 1962, the Lord spoke to me, only shortly after He spoke to Brother Branham. But I had no way of knowing this. To him He spoke about the storing in of the food, to me He said both, to store in and to give out. Also of the Scriptures of Amos 8:11, that God would send a famine to hear His Word, and of Matthew 24:45, that food should be dished out at the right time, I had no knowledge then. Only with the actual fulfilling one comes to know the significance.
In connection with this it could be mentioned what happened the next day after the funeral of Brother Branham. It spoke so clear and strong in my heart, “Now your time has come to give out the food.” It was as though a record was playing the same text. I only heard these words over and again, “Now your time has come to give out the food.” Therefore, I spoke to a few brethren, such as Roy Borders, Billy Paul Branham and Pearry Green. I told them of what the Lord had commissioned and asked for the sermons to be printed so we would have the possibility to translate the messages into other languages. In this way the work of God continued as was predicted without interruption after the departure of Brother Branham. I was privileged to take the message – the revealed Word of God into all the world. This was not my intention and not my decision, it was the Will of God Who was pleased to include myself in a small way into His end time plan. I did not have many private experiences with Brother Branham, like for instance Brother Pearry Green to whom Brother Branham said, “Hurry up, if you wish to get that hair cut.” I met him on several occasions, ate with him at the same table and rode with him in the same car. My connection to Brother Branham was rather spiritual.
As certain as all of God’s children recognized at all times what God was doing in their day, they certainly will also recognize it now. It was always necessary to line up with the God-ordained ministry and work. Otherwise one remains outside the will and plan of God, even in spite of claiming to believe the message and all the prophet said. Up till today, the words our Lord spoke in reference to those He chose for the ministry and sent out are valid, “He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.“ (Lk. 10:16) This is said only of those directly called by the Lord for a specific purpose. Imaginary claims only count with the fools who remain in error. A true child of God does not live by bread alone, leave alone by imagination, but rather by every Word of God as it proceeded from the mouth of God. Also in reference to the promised Word for our time we need to experience the same now as individuals. At this serious hour certainly time consuming discussions about different citations of Brother Branham are not to be continued. We must experience the fulfilment of everything God promised to us. Those who take their stand against someone placed by God and even influence others although they find plausible reasons live openly in an opposing state towards God Who without interruption continues His work, until the completion comes at the return of Jesus Christ. Brother Branham spoke about such people and called them “seed of discrepancy”. Only those who are born from the seed of the Word by the Spirit have the possibility to be fitted into God’s plan laid out in His Word.
The Kingdom of God cannot be divided. He cannot take His people on many different ways. The camps which were put up, not staying with the main stream are not the assembly of true believers, but rather a getting together against the Lord and His anointed. The Lord, in spite of all these developments, will still move with His Own in His ordained way, right to the end. He will not take sides with the different movements, He will remain with His Body, the church, and fit the members together. They are built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets.
May the dear Lord bless His chosen ones in this present evil generation and help us in our thoughts, actions and lives to live pleasing unto Him. The grace and the peace of God be with you all.
