CIRCULAR December 1986

VARIOUS TASKS

As with everyone who was called to the ministry, so I could only do what He has called me to accomplish. I could not simply imitate and do what others have done, but I had to be faithful in the ministry given to me by a divine calling. If we search the Holy Scriptures, we can easily find that all the men of God had received totally different assignments to carry out.

The prophet Noah did not do any signs or wonders, but built the ark as the Lord had adviced him to do (Gn 6:22).

Abraham was not a prophet walking around the country and calling people to repentance. He only did what the Lord had ordered him to do. He just went and reached the promised land.

The ministry of the prophet Moses was again totally different. There we read about mighty signs and wonders, because God had ordained it to be so. He only did what the Lord had told him to do.

The ministry of Joshua differed from all the others, but he also did exactly what he was commissioned.

Both, Elijah and Elisha worked mighty signs and wonders. Because Elisha asked for a double portion, he performed exactly the double amount of miracles as Elijah did.

The prophet Isaiah spoke in the 66 chapters of the plan of salvation and wrote about it. In all the Old Testament there is not one book like this, which could be compared to it. But there is no mentioning of a visible divine confirmation of his ministry. He was the one who spoke about the birth of Christ, about the task of John the Baptist, of the sufferings of the Redeemer, and also about the new heaven and the new earth. But if somebody would have compared his work to the one of Moses, he could have asked, “What about the confirmation of your ministry, Isaiah?”

Let us consider Jeremiah and Ezekiel who also shared a part of the plan of salvation and prophesied the way it would proceed. Let us take the prophets from Daniel to Malachi. Each and every one of them, God had determined for some special purpose. Not one did copy the other, but every one had an original calling and a ministry according to the plan and purpose of God. No one can try to say, this one was great, and this one was small, here God confirmed, and there He did not confirm. Everyone who had an original calling from God and a ministry according to the plan of God did not copy anyone else. The first thing a child of God must have, is respect towards a divine decision, and to acknowledge a heavenly calling. This respect every true child of God will also pay towards those whom He has called and placed in His ministry.

If we go to the New Testament, we meet first the ministry of John the Baptist. He had no signs and wonders to prove anything, but he preached the Word of God for that hour, the true message of the Almighty for that moment, and he prepared the way of the Lord. Jesus said of him, “Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist.” (Mt 11:11). Also in the Book of Acts and the epistles, we meet the ministries which were numerous according to the divine calling. The job to be done by Paul was a different one than that of Peter. Of Timothy or Titus was not the same recorded as of Peter and Paul. But one thing all servants of God had in common: the same Word and the same revelation; although different commissions, but the same Spirit and the same fountain they were drawing from.

Nobody can expect of me to imitate the ministry of Brother Branham. But everyone can be sure that I preach the same pure, divine message which the Lord has so graciously confirmed. As Brother Branham could say, “I have preached the same what Paul preached”, and millions cried, “We are resting upon that!“, just as certain as that I can say, “What Paul and Branham proclaimed, that I have preached.”

If I would refer to the many testimonies of healing and supernatural confirmations, we certainly could fill quite an extensive brochure. Here, only one of the latest miracles should be mentioned. It was in April this year, that we received a prayer request for healing by a family in the CSSR. Their child, already sick for two years, was given up by the doctors. No more hope – nothing was more certain than death, which was right near. This healing occurred on a Wednesday night, while we have our prayer meeting in the church of Krefeld. It was a direct answer to prayer.

In the past years, I have mainly been occupied with the translation work, preparing and proofreading the manuscripts and also with the proclamation of the end time message, the Word of God for our time. The closer we come to the end, the more we can expect supernatural confirmation in our midst. Those who hear and believe the Word will see what the Lord can do. On the 3rd of December, 1962, after the conversation with Brother Branham, we went together to his car on the parking lot, and I knew, it was my last opportunity. So I asked Brother Branham, whether I also could pray for the sick. His reply was, “Brother Frank, every one who is called to preach the Gospel, is also called to pray for the sick. Don’t fear, the Lord will be with you and confirm His Word.” Then he put his arms around me and blessed me under prayer.
